India's capital Wakes Up to Toxic Pollution After Festival of Lights

Both financial and medical consequences on the nearly 33 million inhabitants living in the capital region is substantial, according to numerous studies.
The contaminated air causes high levels of nervous system, cardiovascular and breathing disorders, and can even lead to cancer.
Environmental contamination is projected to be responsible for ten thousand untimely fatalities per year in the capital.
